ABOUT ME
I’m an award-winning 3D artist specializing in environment and hard surface art for games. I have a burning desire to create work that’s both novel and ambitious, even when it means taking the more challenging path. I pride myself on my commitment to long-term creative visions, thorough attention to detail, and care for healthy team dynamics and ethical production practices.
At my core is a deep love of video games built through decades as a player and industry enthusiast. Games are special to me for their versatility—as vessels for storytelling (Naughty Dog), forums to build friendships and memories (Destiny), canvases for wildly creative worldbuilding (Death Stranding), and lately, large-scale D&D-style experiences shared between developers and players (Helldivers).
Dead set on pursuing a career in games since my early teens, I taught myself Blender and Unity in high school to develop and release several small games. I continued my artistic journey at the University of Washington, where I built a strong foundation in traditional art through the School of Art, while excelling in the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering’s Animation Capstone program. After completing my degree at UW, I deepened my 3D expertise in the Gnomon School of Visual Effects, Games and Animation’s two-year graduate-level Game Art program, where I graduated in June 2025.
I’m currently seeking environment and/or hard surface artist roles in AAA or AA game development, or real-time production. I can be reached at evan.mcclure31@gmail.com and my portfolio can be viewed at https://www.artstation.com/evanrmcclure
